Made with <3 by LimeCuda

It started as a joke. Looking at the footer of a site, I thought it would be funny to reach out to Blake on chat, “Why do so many sites feel the need to tell you that they were made by fewer than three people in a certain city?

What I thought was a funny joke fell on confused ears.

“What are you talking about?!”

“You know, like ‘Made with <3 in Brooklyn'”

Blake played it off with a little bit of a digital eye roll but I know there was coffee spit on the other end of the line. Am I right, am I right?! [EDITOR Blake: most definitely]

Ok, I admit, the joke wasn’t that funny. But it did get me thinking that “Fewer Than Three” would be an awesome name for a behind the scenes blog into the life and work of a web agency.

The Perfect Outlet

For us, the name was appropriate. Not only do we do what we do with love, we are also fewer than three people :).

Granted, we do regularly bring other designers, developers, and specialists into the fold but at the end of the day, the two of us are the core of LimeCuda.

As we completely revamped the LimeCuda brand and marketing efforts recently, we noticed that there was a great opportunity for us to get some things out of our private emails, internal conversations, and development research and put out in the world.

We’ve had a craving to do so for a while, with small pieces bleeding out into the LimeCuda blog as well as our personal blogs. But none of those individual blogs ever seemed like the most appropriate outlet.

Well, this site is now our outlet.

What you’ll find here

Plugins

We’ve got a few WordPress.org plugins, some free plugins available on Github, as well as a few plugins that we use regularly as private repositories on Github. We’ll be compiling those here with better documentation for use by the community as well as other developers we bring on to work on LimeCuda projects.

Code Snippets

There can sometimes be a good bit of time put into coming up with a few lines of code to perform a specific function. We’ll be organizing our snippets here for quicker, searchable access when we run across their need again. We <3 our community and this is a great way to show it.

Tutorials

Documenting research as well as other fun stuff. Helps us learn and understand some things more clearly ourselves.

Book Synopsis

We’ve got lists of books that we want to read. We recently had an idea for an internal site to share synopsis of those books with each other so we could absorb more of that information in a quicker way. We’ll be bringing that idea here.

If this sounds interesting to you, subscribe using the form below and we’d love to have you on our monthly email newsletter. Don’t worry, we guarantee to send you fewer than three every month 😉
